Chaising God

Be still and know.

The noise is deafening

I cannot hear

Things around me are happening

Whom Should I fear?

Your voice is absent from this place

But still I continue

I seek your face

Oh God, dear God your lamb is thirsty

But this loud place is very dry

I seek your presence in the darkness

As tears roll from my eyes

I will push through

I will break through the turmoil and the noise

I will press on, I’ll seek your face

I need to hear your voice.

Then comes silence, the noise has stopped

You spirit rushes in

My heart is ablaze

My speech is stopped

My prayer has become your praise

You say to me Be still, and be never afraid

You say again Be still, for I am God of this day

Again you say be still and know the price that I’ve paid

Be still, be still my thirsty lamb

Be still, be still and know

Be still, and know that I am God.

This is beautiful. That is what God tells us to do. wE must just rest in Him. We must "be still and know that He is God." Thank you so much for this encouragement.

Did you write this?? I LOVE it. I always have problems remembering to be still. This is a good reminder, thanks, Travis!

Who knew that you are a poet too? Painter, children's pastor, student, general contractor and cellular expert! This is really stirring.

Your great use of imagery captures, in lack of a better word, the "moment". Not many people can do that. Great Poem Pastor Travis!!!
